Montana and Glacier National Park - June 2012
We started our trip early enough on June 17 to reach southern Idaho by night fall. The first city with accomodations was Pocatello. We had been seeing rock outcorpping, or rifts along the road south of town, so after settling in we drove back out to fine one and take pictures. Then we walked a nature trail on the south end of town until dusk.
We scheduled our drive to arrive in Kalispell in the evening, and make a stop along the way at the National Bison Range north of Missoula. The bison were quite a ways off the road, but we did see other wildlife including antelope, deer, and elk. We drove through a rainshower on the southwest end of Flathaead Lake before arriving in Kalispell.
June 19, we visited Kootenai Falls County Park in Libby.
